Textbook: Matrix Methods, by Richard Bronson, 2^nd Ed.

Academic Press, Boston, 1991.

Subject matter to be covered: Sections 1.1-1.7, 2.1-2.3, 2.5-2.7, 3.1-3.4, 4.1-4.6, 5.1-5.5, 7.1-7.9, 8.1-etc.

Testing and Grading Policy: Grades are to be based on two 50-minute midterm examinations referred to as Test 1 and Test 2, and a two-hour final examination.

Test 1 will be given on Friday, October 20, 2005.

Test 2 will be given on Friday, November 17, 2005.

The final examination is scheduled for Friday, December 8, 2006 at 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Test 1 and Test 2 will each contribute 25% to the eventual grade; and, the final examination will account for 50% of the grade. Please use examination booklets

(i.e., “bluebooks”) for each of the examinations.

Pocket calculators and other such aids are prohibited during the various examinations.

Withdrawal Policy: Thursday, November 16^th, is the last day to withdraw from the class.
