Most of the
input statements of Chapter 1 can be downloaded from the notebook accessed by
clicking here.
Some of the
animations require adjustments to the control buttons.
It is helpful to evaluate the MATHEMATICA Input statements as you read in the text what they do.
Week of April 5 – April 9 (Second Week)
Solving the various problems assigned in the download
prepared for Chapter 1.
Each of the following Labs will begin with a short quiz on
the most basic techniques.
About 10 minutes should be sufficient and the questions will
be similar to the previously assigned problems. Then, the remainder of these labs will be devoted to new topics
in our textbook. As the course
progresses, there will be new notebooks to download for evaluation as the
corresponding topics are covered in the textbook. The corresponding MATHEMATICA notebooks are downloadable from
hyperlinks appearing below.

No homework will be collected. Grades will be based solely on the short quizzes given at the
beginning of each class from the third week onward. There is no final examination.
