Textbook:  Matrix Theory with Applications  by Jack L. Goldberg, McGraw-Hill, N.Y., 1991.

 

Syllabus:   Subject matter from Chapters 4 through 8.

 

 

Testing and Grading Policy:  There will be two 50-minute examinations, two projects, and a 2-hour final examination.  Each 50-minute exam will be graded on a basis of 100 points; each project will be graded on a basis of 100 points; and the 2-hour final exam will be graded on a basis of 100 points.  Your grade on each 50-minute exam will be weighted as 1/5 of your course grade; your grade on each project will be weighted as 1/10; and your grade on the final examination will be weighted as 2/5 of your course grade.             

 

                             Test 1  (in Room 835)          Friday,           January 26,      9:00 - 9:50 a.m.

                             Test 2  (in Room 835)          Friday,           February 23,    9:00 - 9:50 a.m.

                    Final Exam  (in Room 835)          Friday,           March 16,      10:30-12:30

 

Please bring and use Examination Booklets (i.e. “Blue Books”) for each of the examinations. 

 

Withdrawal Policy:     A withdrawal with passing status ( W ) will be permitted up through Thursday,  March 1st.  After that date, withdrawal slips can not be processed..
