Walk-In Consultation:

You are invited to drop in with any short statistics questions related to your research project during our normal walk-in consultation schedule. This is a fee-free service, and there is no need to make an appointment, or to fill out an application form. The majority of projects will require more extensive consultation than what could be provided during our walk-in hours; nevertheless, this still may be a good place to start.

Short Term Statistical Analysis:

For students, researchers and faculty at UC, we provide advise and assistance with short-term statistical analysis. This includes assistance with designing experiments, observational studies and surveys, as well as analyzing data and interpreting the results. You are especially encouraged to contact us early in your research, preferably at the design stage. The time normally required to complete a project may vary from a few hours to several weeks. For most projects we would expect to offer up to five hours of fee-free consultation, although the exact nature of such arrangements will be determined on a case by case basis, based on available resources. More extensive consultation and data-analysis services would be available on a fee-for-service basis. To schedule an appointment, please fill-out and submit our consulting application form (see Application Form in the selection menu).

Long Term Collaborative Research:

We seek to promote cross-disciplinary interaction and collaborative research between the statistics faculty and students in the Department of Mathematical Sciences and their counterparts in other departments. If you are working on a project that is suitable for collaborative research, please contact us.
