Accommodation has been arranged in multiple occupancy apartments in Sawyer Hall. The apartments will be air-conditioned with their own kitchens and bathrooms. Linen service (Towels, sheets, pillowcases, blankets) will be provided. You should plan to check in sometime on Sunday, June 17.
Meals will be served in the Sander Dining Hall (adjacent to Dabney Hall). For those staying in the dorms, breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served. I have only requested lunch for the local students. Meal service begins on Monday, June 18. There will be no meal served on Sunday, June 17.
Parking will be provided in the Scioto-Jefferson Garage for students with cars. Decals and key-cards will be at the check-in desk when you arrive if you indicated that you would be driving.
There are ATM machines on campus on the side of the temporary Food Hall building in front of Old Chemistry. The nearest full-service bank is the Fifth-Third Bank on the corner of Corry Ave and Vine Street.
The bookstore lies between the residence halls and Zimmer. It sells the usual supplies and also houses the campus branch of the Post Office.
You will be provided with temporary ID's. These will enable you to use facilities such as the libraries, computer labs and recreation facilities.
The mathematics library is in the Mathematics Department (840 Old Chemistry). The main library is the Langsam Library. You will need your ID card to borrow books. The books from the reading list and a few others will be on reserve in the mathematics library.
A gym and swimming pool will be available for your use in Laurence Hall. It should also be possible to reserve squash and racquetball courts. You will need your ID to use these facilities.
There are computer labs all over campus, most of which you will be able to use if you show your ID. In particular there are computers available in the mathematics department in Old Chemistry 837 and in Langsam Library.
